Beacon Brokerage (Beacon) is pleased to announce the completion of a growth capital investment in Decision Point Research (DPR), a leading Toronto-based qualitative and quantitative data collection firm, by TerraNova Partners LP (TNP), an investment fund focused on providing growth capital and additional management expertise to help companies service their customers better and realize new growth opportunities. Beacon acted as a sell-side adviser during the transaction, confidentially marketing the opportunity and negotiating the transaction parameters between the parties.
Transaction Summary
In the summer of 2015, DPR reached out to Will Fischtein at Beacon in order to achieve the goal of finding a suitable hands-on investor to partner with DPR’s founding principals to help take the business to the next level. In late 2015, TNP, which has had an ongoing relationship with Alex Shteriev and Beacon, identified Decision Point Research as an investment opportunity that could successfully utilize growth capital as well as its principals’ experience and knowledge in the consumer, IT, and marketing related service fields. After an efficient, mutually respectful, and confidential due diligence and negotiation process, TNP made a significant investment in the business and partnered with existing management to enable DPR to better serve its customers and increase its market share and reputation as a leader in the data collection field.
