Senior Valuation Associate – Chiang Mai, Thailand (CBV Pathway)

Through one of Beacon Advisors’ partner relationships, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with the principal of an independent Canadian valuation firm based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This role offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in business valuation while pursuing your CBV designation.

As part of a growing practice, you’ll have real room to expand your role and take on increasing responsibility as your skills develop. You’ll also experience life in a new country, enjoy a lower cost of living, and have Southeast Asia at your doorstep for travel and exploration during your downtime.

Your role will include:

  • Assisting the firm principal in all aspects of the valuation process

  • Conducting industry and company research

  • Preparing valuation calculations and report drafts

  • Communicating with clients and preparing follow-up questions

  • Supporting ongoing technology initiatives, including the development and testing of proprietary valuation tools

This position is ideal for someone who’s curious, detail-oriented, and eager to gain international experience while building a career in valuation and corporate finance.

Business Analyst Intern (3 Start times: Late August, Early January, Late April)

Our deal team is looking to add a Business Analyst Intern to support the Business Analyst and firm Partners on a variety of transaction-related projects.

The ideal candidate is a third- or fourth-year university student, or a recent graduate, pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Students from Ivey, Smith, and Rotman are especially encouraged to apply.

We are seeking candidates with strong analytical, financial modeling, research, and writing skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AI-based tools for research and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in valuing and analyzing companies across diverse industries

  • Build and refine financial models to support M&A transactions

  • Conduct detailed market and industry research

  • Support the preparation of client marketing materials and transaction documents

  • Manage and maintain the firm’s client and deal databases

  • Contribute to business and industry articles for publication on the company website

This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), business valuation, and corporate finance, while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Program Details:

Internship intakes occur three times per year — late August, early January, and late April.
